Nonde is a qualified professional accountant with over 19 years’ experience in capital markets regulation and supervision, financial accounting, financial and operational auditing. Nonde has been with SEC Zambia for 10 years in the market supervision and development directorate which is responsible for supervision of capital markets operators including exchanges, clearing and settlement agencies, listed companies, brokers and dealers.
Nonde is also in charge of the SEC Zambia’s market development initiatives including investor awareness programs and product development. Key projects under his mandate include the first ever Capital Markets Master Plan for Zambia which anchors all key development projects including the SEC Zambia Green and Sustainable Finance Project. Nonde chairs the Green Finance Mainstreaming Working Group comprised of SEC Zambia, Bank of Zambia, Pensions and Insurance Authority, Ministries of Finance and Green Economy and other key partners like the Biodiversity Initiative (BIOFIN). The GFMW is responsible for implementing initiatives to green the Zambian financial services sector.
