Ana Tribin is a Senior Economist at the World Bank’s Development Economics Vice Presidency, working on the Women, Business, and the Law (DECWL) project. She holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University. Prior to joining the World Bank, Ana worked at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a public policy specialist, where she led the gender team for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region. She has also served as a Senior Research Economist at the Central Bank of Colombia and as the President’s National Advisor for Women’s Equality (Minister of Gender) in the Colombian Government.
Ana co-founded Digna, a research-action project focused on gender equality, at Universidad de los Andes. Her research spans gender, migration, and development economics. She has authored numerous papers in international journals and books and has served as an editor for several academic
